Italian Landscape designed by 23Bassi for Ceramica Fioranese

Italian Landscape is the first collection resulting from the collaboration between Fioranese and 23Bassi architecture studio. What they have in common is a love for Italy and its riches, a land from which to draw new suggestions and to look at from a different angle. With the utmost freedom of composition, achieved by regularly or causally juxtaposing the different decorations and colours, Italian Landscape fits into any type of environment bringing emotion and aesthetic quality, to create a structured and tactile decor.

Architectures, monuments, landscapes, works of art built by man or nature that, if observed carefully, reveal an iconic and replicable visual synthesis. Starting from three cities in central Italy, Florence, L’Aquila and Siena, as many landscape symbols were selected with which to derive the graphic ground of appeal to be reproduced on the ceramic surface. A poetic combination of art and experience gives an undeniable charm to this collection of warm and dusty colours and let us imagine the walls of the home as vast landscapes in which one can rediscover dreamlike and primordial sensations, with great freedom and imagination.

4 decorative subjects and 5 plain-coloured backgrounds with a cement texture, offered in the small 20.5×20.5cm – 8”x8” sizes with a matt finish, make up a versatile porcelain stoneware collection with which to create unique wall and floor designs for small and large spaces in residential and commercial buildings. The addition of colour, through tone-ontone or unusual contrasting combinations, creates a very trendy colour palette. The use of colored joints, in pendant with furnishings or wall paintings, constitutes a further creative element with which to generate endless design possibilities.
